Investment Analyst

The Investment Analyst will work closely with senior management and acquisition, renovation, and development teams on evaluating and acquiring new projects and assisting in all aspects of asset management of owned properties.

Underwrite and analyze acquisition, repositioning and development of multifamily and mixed-use properties; provide general support to asset management and development teams including maintaining financial models for partners and lenders.

Responsibilities/Essential Job Duties

  • Perform market research to assess investment opportunities and analyze valuation.
  • Underwrite prospective deals, expected primarily to be multifamily repositioning/redevelopment and developments and secondarily office properties.
  • Prepare investment memorandum on new deals.
  • Perform due diligence, coordinate third party reports, negotiate loan documents, and administrate closings of properties under contract.
  • Prepare and/or maintain financial models for each property projecting operating cash flow, construction, and financing activities.
  • Compile property information and conduct analyses on current portfolio and prospective additions including hold vs. sell analyses.
  • Review leases, abstracts, contracts and research tenant information to evaluate growth prospects, business outlook, etc.
  • Coordinate appraisal process with lenders and appraisers.
  • Identify factors contributing to changes in valuation.
  • Manage assigned properties to ensure performance goals are met.
  • Submit letters of intent to purchase properties.
  • Meet with investors and lenders to market opportunity and raise equity and debt financing.
  • Implement business intelligence platform where key performance metrics are transparent and reliable.
  • Work with senior management across functions to optimize value-added from business intelligence (e.g. Analysis, Incentive Comp structures, communication across organization).


  • Strong computer, analysis and decision making with strong math skills - capable of advanced Excel modeling.

  • BA/BS with a career interest in real estate and finance. Degree in economics, finance, business, or real estate preferred. Must have undergraduate coursework in economics, corporate finance and accounting.
