Sales Associate – Serenity at Larkspur

Managing all activities related to apartment rentals, including marketing, lead generation, leasing, and maintaining good customer relations with residents and prospective clients, to achieve maximum occupancy and resident retention. Serve as the main point of contact for all potential residents.

Responsibilities/Essential Job Duties

Process

Process incoming lease applications, including qualifying prospects, running credit verifications, tracking all prospective tenants, and following up on all leads.

Generate

Generate prospect traffic through marketing efforts which include Craig’s List postings, community outreach, generating broker lists and working with referral sources, and property tours.

Prepare

Prepare lease documentation and conduct lease signings.

Update

Make all updates necessary in Yardi system, including new tenant information and vacancies.

Collaborate

Work with property management to shop competition and maintain up-­to-­date marketing information on the competition and any other factors affecting the property’s market. Assist property management with preparation of sales and marketing plans.

Assist

Assist Leasing Director and General Manager in achieving income and occupancy goals, prepare leasing reports, and comply with company policies and procedures and fair housing laws.

Provide

Provide excellent customer service, including following up on resident service requests.

Adhere

Adheres to established performance standards and achieves company sales goals on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

Promote

Promotes workplace professionalism and collaborates with colleagues to reach team goals

Perform

Perform other duties as assigned by Leasing Director and/or General Manager.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to engage in telephone communications in a professional manner.
  • Ability to use and understand Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to write and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of basic office machine systems such as copy machines, fax machines, scanners.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Some knowledge of the Yardi program preferred.
  • Ability to multi-­task.
  • Ability to function effectively in a customer service oriented sales environment.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma, some college preferred.
  • High level sales and customer service experience required.
  • Real Estate industry experience preferred.
