Senior Associate (Manager) Corporate

Responsible for handling the fundamental aspects of financial recordkeeping for a real estate asset management and development company. This position is part of the accounting department reporting to the SVP, Accounting with focus on assigned assets. This position will be an integral part of an asset service team.

Responsibilities/Essential Job Duties

Prepare

Prepare all financial statements and reports for designated properties and projects. Prepare funding/distribution requests to investors and lenders. Prepare Variance Analysis and Cash Flow Analysis. Prepare monthly financial reports for partners and owners. Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients and partners.

Assist

Assist with yearly budget preparations and interim reforesting. Assist in the yearly audit process and assist with quarterly and year-­end reporting to investors and regulatory agencies. Other related duties as assigned.

Reconcile

Reconcile bank accounts.

Assure

Assure expenditures are in accordance with company-­mandated expense approvals and assist in the payables process.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills via email, phone and in person
  • Requires exercise of independent judgment related to business operations
  • Yardi experience preferred
  • Exposure to partnership tax process is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum 3-4 years’ full general ledger accounting and reporting experience
  • College degree required
